Abby: Week 16

Week 16

Week 16 was lots of fun. Not to say we did anything crazy during the week, but over the weekend
we had our first family photo shoot which couldn't have gone any better. Cathy is a professional
photographer who lives in our community and offered mini sessions to people in our neighborhood
with the full rights to 10 edited photos. I jumped on the opportunity because I knew I wanted to get
professional family photos done and I wasn't going to beat the price. Also, it works out well to have the
rights to the photos….can we say Christmas cards and gift?!?! I know family, the surprise is ruined….
LOL. Mommy was a little worried that Miss Abby Pants was going to sleep through the whole thing since
it was scheduled for 10 am (her nap time), but little girl took a 15 minute power nap just before we left
and was in a great mood for the pictures. Everything turned out better than expected really. Cathy was
great and we found a great spot right there in The Woodlands. It made life easy. Now if only we could
figure out how to make everything else easy I would be all set.

Feeling the pressure (from myself really) to get back in shape, but having a hard time trying to find
the time to exercise. Any active parents out there want to let me in on the secret? I feel like it’s not
even an option during the work week because I don’t get home until 5:30 and I really just want to hang
out with Abby for a bit since I don’t see her all day and on top of that, there is still the weekly chores,
preparing her bottles for the next day, getting my pump cleaned and ready for the next day and then
comes bedtime by 8 and Mommy is pooped too. On the weekends I do have a bit more time and could
probably start doing more, but I feel like that is the only time to get things done around the house,
run errands and have quality family time. I really want to fit in the exercising (and I even have a TRX
hanging in my garage and an elliptical in my bedroom so the excuses are not very good), but I just don’t
know when. First world problems, I know. I've downloaded the C25K app on my phone again. Thinking
about trying to give that another whirl even though I am in no way a runner. I completed it a couple of years ago and ran my first (and only) 5K. It felt great (even though I’m pretty sure I cried at the end of the race, not sure why though) and I’m thinking I can put Abby in her stroller and take her with me. The hills might be a bit much with the stroller, but I’ll just consider it my strength training. I’ll keep thinking about how to get that exercise thing accomplished…tips and advice are welcome! :)

Miss Pants has been very happy and active this week.  She loves getting in playtime with Daddy.  We don't get the chance to take a ton of fun photos during the week, but we did manage to get a few cute shots!

Abby is showing off her new summer hat.  It'll hopefully fit by next summer! :)

Playtime with Daddy.  Her new thing is to stand up straight and scream in his face.  It's pretty funny.

 Snuggle time with Daddy

 My happy girl

Sweetest smile ever! <3
